After becoming a new mom, all of my time was devoted to everything, but myself. I was living in a constant state of reaction, and I felt it. Physically, mentally and emotionally, body, mind and spirit. My body was out of balance, I was always exhausted, and felt way older than I was. Meanwhile, I wasn’t getting any younger, and it felt like time was against me and this was it. This was life as I knew it.

One day, my husband, who was pre-diabetic at the time, turned on the documentary, Forks Over Knives, and it was like something clicked. We shifted our eating habits to a whole-food plant-based diet and the changes were felt almost immediately. Not only did we lose weight while actually eating more, but I started to feel better, my energy levels were up, and my husband’s bloodwork was no longer in the pre-diabetic range, which was a huge win.

Fascinated by the idea that plants could actually be medicine, I started to educate myself and absorb all of the evidence-based information I could get my eyes and ears on, and was even more surprised to find that lifestyle as medicine could improve quality of life, and even treat and reverse chronic disease. I felt like I had cracked a code and discovered a fountain of youth to create a life of vitality, to equip me with the confidence I needed to keep up with all of the roles in my life as a busy working mother. I am now passionate about sharing this knowledge with other mothers, so that they can transform their health inside and out, simply by using plants and lifestyle as medicine, just as I did.

I am a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and my unique training includes both talk- and movement-based coaching.
